Job responsibilities:

  • Preparation and commissioning of test benches;
  • Testing the hardware of the server hardware;
  • Installation and configuration of the Server/Desktop OS (Windows/Linux/BSD);
  • Software deployment for manufactured products according to the TOR;
  • Configuring, updating, debugging the basic input/output system (BIOS);
  • Configuring basic remote control functions (iLO, iDRAC, BMC, SSH);
  • Functional testing of equipment using special software;
  • Validation of server hardware components according to the configuration;
  • Automation of testing processes;
  • Working with accounting documents, PMIs, bug tracking;
  • Testing of prototypes for compatibility (hardware/software);
  • Finding solutions to problems related to hardware and software incompatibilities;
  • Conducting compatibility testing of operating systems according to the developers' methodology;
  • Participation in the development of test methods, checklists and test cases;

Requirements:

  • Understanding the RAID controller configuration and knowledge of RAID levels (software and hardware) including VROC;
  • Understanding simple electrical circuits and reading manuals in English and Chinese;
  • Knowledge of the troubleshooting methodology and the component base of the motherboard;
  • Knowledge of basic data transfer protocols (Ethernet, FC, PCIe, SAS, Infiniband, IPMI Red);
  • Knowledge of the topology and architecture of the motherboard;
  • Ability to update component firmware (RAID, FC, ETH);
  • Experience working with computer equipment as a service engineer/ PC assembler is desirable/Servers;
  • Understanding the general principles of electrics, radio electronics, circuit engineering, principles of operation of computer (server) components, principles of working with electronics, safety rules/requirements;
  • The ability to organize a workplace, build a workflow in an optimal way;
  • Work experience of at least 3 years in the relevant position;
  • Higher technical education;
  • Technical English;
  • Business/Personal qualities: Attentiveness
