Digitalization of the Electric power industry: results of the 3rd CIM Conference in Russia and in the World.

On February 8–10, the 3rd industry International conference "CIM" was held in Sochi in Russia and in the world. A general information model for electric power companies. The conference reflects the current agenda of digitalization of the industry – unification of information exchange. The importance of the topic is added by changes in the regulatory framework regarding the organization of data exchange of information models and the general course of the country on import dependence.

The event is organized by the System Operator of the Unified Energy System. The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and major energy companies such as Inter RAO, SO UES, Rosseti, Gazprom Energoholding, RusHydro, developers and manufacturers of software and IT solutions.

Within the framework of the conference, the speakers presented the best practices of implementing technologies based on CIM and considered the main directions of development of the profiles of the information model of the electric power industry. In addition to the sessions and reports, a specialized exhibition of software solutions was held, where RDW Technology, a Russian manufacturer of computer equipment, hosted an exhibition stand with a full line of Russian computer equipment.
