The Russian vendor RDW Technology has started mass production of barebone platforms under the brand RDW Computers.

This is the only monoblock platform, the production of which is now localized at this level in the Russian Federation. The first batch of the device is 1500 pieces. The planned production volume is up to 75 thousand devices per year.

The Barebone platform received a 23.8-inch LCD monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 5 MP webcam, two 5 W speakers, a stereo microphone, a card reader, a 250 W power supply and a frameless design.

The Barebone is the same monoblock assembled according to the principle of a frame system and designed for self-assembly by the user. The Barebone platform allows you to get the necessary device based on motherboards of the most common formats and install processors of the required performance. Unlimited possibilities are open to any user in the flexible selection of the device configuration to solve the required tasks.

- Our barebone platform is designed for the most common formats of motherboards, – Roman Zhdanov, Sales Director of RDW Computers, told about the technical features of the novelty. The new device has a board of its own production RDW-MB-B45M. On its basis, all the brand's computer equipment, which is in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, is being assembled today. The motherboard was created by the company in 2020. This is the first certified motherboard in Russia based on an AMD processor. And the barebone platform of RDW Computers is favorably distinguished by the built-in protection system. To increase the degree of information protection, the model is equipped with a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader and a fingerprint scanner.

According to the developers, current solutions will arouse interest in the new monoblock platform on the market. This product has a good prospect. When organizing its production, the RDW Computers development center conducted comprehensive engineering training. Now nothing will affect the timing of production and the volume of its production.

New barebone platforms are assembled at the contract production facilities of Prankor LLC and NPO CTS, which are part of the Russian GS Group holding.

- At the first stage, the devices undergo optical control, X-ray control with one hundred percent sampling, " Stanislav Lishik, technical director of the NGO "CTS", speaks about the quality control system. – On the second – visual control and the first functional check of the boards that are part of the barebone platforms are carried out. All of them are checked individually before installation in a common housing. After testing, we begin assembling into the housing. We check the finished product again. Then we pack it into finished products. Each board is marked with a unique 2D code. It allows you to track the status and quality of the boards at all stages of production. The data of the test results are automatically checked into our MES system. During the assembly of the barebone platform, we will adjust our MES system to this product, a number of modules will be added, which will allow us to adapt production to the product as much as possible.

A monoblock based on the barebone RDW Computers is the best option for office equipment. It is compact, ergonomic, with quick access to maintenance. To improve the performance of the device, its configuration can be easily changed by the user.

The new barebone platform will be included in the Unified Register of Radio Electronics of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This will allow any Russian manufacturer to use it to increase the ad valorem share in monoblocks of its own production.
