Testing network connections of the RDW Computers cluster solution with the Siberia storage system

The Altai series RDW Computers servers demonstrated conflict-free interaction with the Iridium virtualization system as part of compatibility tests conducted using the methods of the Russian developer of the Iridium PC software package.

On a cluster solution assembled from three RDW Computers Altai series servers on the latest RDW MBS-C621P server motherboards, support for network connections to the Siberia storage system (also products of the RDW Computers brand) was tested via 25 Gigabit Ethernet and SAN networks with support for FiberChannel adapters with a speed of 32 Gigabits.

The cluster provided support for the entire amount of server RAM for use by virtual machines (VMs) in the hypervisor, VMs were created in test mode, procedures for connecting both the VM itself and its interfaces to the management console were completed, VM resource utilization was monitored and test "snapshots" were created – a complete snapshot of the current VM state, which allowed the system to return to the saved configuration.

"Both the Altai registry server and the Iridium registry virtualization system are novelties of the Russian IT market in 2024. Our interest, as computer manufacturers, in new domestic trusted software solutions is natural. We are interested in software compatibility and stable operation of our products with as many applications and operating systems as possible created by trusted Russian developers," said Pavel Kovalenko, spokesman for RDW Technology. "And our joint work with Iridium, firstly, demonstrates the technological potential of our devices, and, secondly, allows our partners to continue to improve their own products."

"Successful testing of our products, of course, expands the possibilities of customers in choosing the most optimal solutions for their business tasks, as well as increases competition in the domestic IT market. In the near future, it is planned to register the specified PACK in the Unified Register of Russian Radioelectronic Products of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, which will ensure that customers comply with the requirements for switching to the use of trusted packs," Iridium representatives said.
