AMD vs. Intel: Why we Believe in AMD Processors

About AMD's success in the x86 processor market, as well as the unique experience of our production in creating the RDW-MB-B450M motherboard. We analyze the dynamics of the market, the achievements of our company and the importance of import substitution in modern conditions.
The eternal battles of manufacturers

We, as a Russian manufacturer of computer equipment, are impressed by the success of AMD, which systematically wins the x86 processor market from Intel year after year. And the construction of our delights is built on solid, objective grounds.

Foundation number one. In 2020, our RDW-MB-B450M motherboard became the first on the Russian market created on the basis of an AMD processor. Before us, no Russian PC manufacturer has done this and has not used double-sided surface SMT mounting! As a responsible developer, we took care of a high-quality finish coating for our printed circuit board. Therefore, it is made using immersion gilding technology (Immersion Gold). The combination of these techniques has improved the characteristics and increased the reliability of the motherboard from RDW Computers. Frankly, we just didn't want to lose face in front of the power of the AMD processor.

Foundation number two. According to impartial statistics, AMD set another historical record in the first quarter of 2022: 27.7 percent of the market share was won back! But just a year ago, the figure of 20.7 percent sounded no less deafening.

Our company has an impressive experience with AMD processors. The RDW-MB-B450M motherboard for AMD processors in July 2021 successfully passed the examination and was included in the Unified Register of Electronic Products manufactured in Russia. And in August of the same year, our Russian office computer monitors, monoblocks for office work and Russian-made system units, which we produce under the RDW Computers brand, underwent a similar procedure. Compliance with these mandatory procedures allowed our product line to participate in government programs related to import substitution. Our domestic system units based on the Athlon 3000G processor and the RDW-MB-B450M motherboard have also successfully passed joint tests with Astra Linux, Alt Linux and Red OS. Their result was the receipt of compatibility certificates.

The non-stop technology race is always the story of global integration. It is not surprising that the solutions demanded by consumers incorporate hundreds of scientific methods based on the best patent developments from different parts of the world. That is why, when launching the Russian production of personal computers, our company realized that every domestic manufacturer of office equipment goes its own thorny path. The vendor's lot is the path of inevitable compromises. We adapt foreign processors and video cards to devices of our own assembly. We adjust our technical regulations to the requirements of Russian legislation. And, falling out of a clear concept of "the best of the best", we consciously go through a stage of uncertainty "without alternative, but our own".

Returning to the epic confrontation between the titans-manufacturers AMD and Intel, we admit that AMD has no rival except Intel in the x86 processor market. This is generally accepted. As well as the fact that time has not taken away the primacy of AMD processors in the optimal price-performance ratio. This means that the Russian production of personal computers is naturally provided with reliable functionality of the potential of our motherboard based on the AMD processor.
