RUSSIAN PC MANUFACTURER AND CHANCE

As a Russian manufacturer of computer and server equipment, we are always interested in what other companies are doing.
And we did the following - our scientists have developed an inexpensive alternative to OLED displays!

A little bit about technologies. OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) – light emitting organic displays. Carbon-containing polymers are responsible for the light emission in them. They phosphoresce if 220 volts are passed through them. In fact, this is an improved LED, where organic LEDs are integrated into the matrix. OLED technology is an expensive pleasure from the point of view of production organization. But even the high market price of an OLED monitor does not reduce its popularity among users.
And now our inquisitive minds have come up with a new technology for the production of screens using perovskites. This is a low-cost and easy-to-produce crystal material. The highlight of the first experimental prototype of the new screen is that its Russian brightness is three times stronger than the brightness of a bourgeois OLED monitor. This is due to the quantum yield of perovskites, which minimizes the loss of energy. The innovative Russian screen needs three times less energy! Energy savings on a national scale and a unique import-substituting solution in one bottle. Question: How much will such a matrix cost?

Our right to comply with the new point system encourages us to build a technological partnership with Russian microelectronics manufacturers. The process of localization of our products is similar in drama to the struggle of the polar expedition for the survivability of the legendary steamer Chelyuskin, tightly squeezed by the ice of the Chukchi Sea at the beginning of the last century. There was no chance!

For example, we are interested in the Russian SSD controller chip. Agree, it's not bad to have a solid-state drive localized in Russia? And we are of the same opinion! We ask the brother-manufacturer competent questions – we get competent answers. We do not miss the main thing - the cost of the controller. And what's the answer? The astronomical figure announced by the native manufacturer per unit of product undermines faith in the very possibility of import substitution. Just imagine, a controller at the price of a newfangled gadget!

Is there really no chance again?
